MT Everest
My oxygen tank is low
As I stepped in snow
Cold breeze blowing in
my face
My shoes stabbing into
snow
Silent Art Auction
Chills went down my spine
I was nervous when speaking
Music was playing
Colourful umbrellas sold
People came to see our art

The Mt Everest poem was cool and it has good rhyming but you repeated snow twice and you could of used a metaphor or simile for it. The silent art auction poem was also very cool and it makes me want to be there!

Hi Keira my name is Sonia.
ReplyDeleteI really liked your Mt Everest poem. I love the way you said I felt chills down my spine instead of saying I was cold. I also love the way you said my oxygen tank was low I could just imagine it in my head, you climbing up a mountain out of breath, huffing and puffing as you make your way to the top.

Kia orana Ms Rolton,
ReplyDeleteI would like to comment on your lovely tank poem, I really love poems and your one is really lovely. I had a read and it was beautiful I really like the sentence that says, “cold breeze blowing in my face”. I had that once and it wasn’t nice at all. I like your post and I am interested in more of your poems.
Kind regards

Hi Keira, my name is Benjamin.
ReplyDeleteI think your tanka poem is brilliant and nice. Your poem made me feel like I was in the medieval time back then. What I actually liked about your poem was when you said that “ Chills went down my spine I was nervous when speaking.”
Have a nice day.
Kind regards
Benjamin
