Growth Mindset - Episode 4

What are neurons and how do we make connections between our neurons?

Think of an example where you made some new connections in your brain. What were you doing?

What can you do this week to make some new connections? Set one specific goal.

Growth Mindset - Episode 3

In Episode 3, “The Power of Yet,” Katie realizes she can learn new

things, too, and that she can ask others for help!

1.  What should you do if you are stuck on a project, math problem, or other learning (teacher can choose a specific situation)?

2.  Think of a time you were afraid to ask for help. Why did you feel afraid?

3.  Why is the word "yet" so powerful? Think of a "yet" moment in your life and discuss it with your neighbor!

Australian National Anthem

AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL ANTHEM

Australians all let us rejoice,
For we are young and free;
We’ve golden soil and wealth for toil;
Our home is girt by sea;
Our land abounds in nature’s gifts
Of beauty rich and rare;
In history’s page, let every stage
Advance Australia Fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing,
Advance Australia Fair.

Beneath our radiant Southern Cross
We’ll toil with hearts and hands;
To make this Commonwealth of ours
Renowned of all the lands;
For those who’ve come across the seas
We’ve boundless plains to share;
With courage let us all combine
To Advance Australia Fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing,
Advance Australia Fair.

My 2016 Holiday - Recount

My 2016 Holiday

Hi, my name is Locky, and I’m writing about my most recent holiday. I went with my Mum, Dad and my brother, Angus. We went fishing, snorkelling and much more!

My first destination was Coral Bay, and it was very windy there. We stayed at a family cabin for the first few nights, and then we stayed at a chalet, which was much nicer than the other one. We had Christmas there, which was very exciting. I got some clothes, a few books, some money, a board game, some fishing stuff, from Santa I got a cricket Australia cap and ball, and from Mum and Dad I got some lefty cricket gloves. We went snorkelling, and we saw some really tiny fish that looked like Coral Trout, that are delicious to eat.

Our next destination was Exmouth, where we caught lots of fish. We stayed at the Lighthouse Caravan Park, and we saw the Vincents' there. We went fishing almost every day, and on our second day we caught two MASSIVE tuna just off Bundegi boat ramp, about 80cm long! I caught a Coral Trout, but it was too small so we had to give it the old kiss n’ drop. Thankfully we didn’t catch any cod because they spew dead eels into your boat. We rode in our doughnut, which we tied to the back of the boat, and skipper Dad went really fast!

Our final destination was Perth; this is where we were involved in a swimming competition. We raced in the rookie meet and the Country Championships. We went to Bounce, which was very exciting. We also went to Escape in the city, where there were giant inflatable water-slides. It was the best thing ever!

So, rounding up I went to Coral Bay, Exmouth and Perth, and I’ve had some great experiences along the way. I’ve played, fished and raced my way through the holidays. They went way too quick, don’t you think?

CamNam Holiday Recount

CamNam (Cambodia and Vietnam Holiday)
Cambodia was a very interesting place but the best part was Vietnam. When we went to Cambodia, it was the first time I rode on a tuk tuk  which is a motorbike with a carriage connected to the back. It also has an extra engine cooling system because it is carrying so much.

In Cambodia we also went to some temples. Those temples were the same ones from the movie Tomb Raider. We were also allowed to climb on some of the temples.

In Vietnam we went to Vinpearl theme park and it was on an island. It also looked like Jurassic World. We took a cable car there. I went on almost every ride but two were closed by the time I wanted to go on them. My favourite ride was the Skydrop, it was a ride that goes up then drops at high speed!

After That we went on a New Years cruise and we went kayaking. After all that I went to see my aunty and cousins in Victoria. My cousins are twins and they are four years old. After that I went home to do normal stuff in Tom Price.

Tom Price Primary School Song

Our School - School Song

We’ve come to Tom Price

from parts far and wide.
Together we’ll wear
the red and blue with pride.
“Forever Forward” our school step treads
as united in purpose, our spirits wed.

At Tom Price Primary we each have the right,
to learn at school without having to fight.
The right to an environment healthy and clean,
the right to respect and equality.
The parents and teachers have the right to expect,
“acceptable behaviour” growing one year to next.
This leads us now to say to one and all,
stand up and cheer as we make our call

Tom Price Primary School - we do our best,
we’re higher than all the rest.
When people ask “where do you come from?”
we just turn around and sing them our song.

TOM PRICE PRIMARY : SCHOOL RULES
TOM PRICE PRIMARY : SCHOOL RULES
TOM PRICE PRIMARY : SCHOOL RULES

TOM PRICE PRIMARY SCHOOL RULES…...YEAH!

TOM PRICE PRIMARY SCHOOL RULES…...YEAH!
